Itinerary:

Our 6 days Murchison Falls Safari and Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Forest takes you for Game viewing and boat cruise on the white Nile in the Murchison Falls, the Worlds strongest falls. During this tour expect to see some of the big five : Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards and other wildlife such as Giraffes, Waterbucks, Hippos, Gazelles, Zebras, Jackson Hartebeest, Foxes and several other wildlife and bird species.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport


We will make arrangements for our Company driver to pick you up from the Airport. Spend the night in a hotel in Kampala and have some rest. The following morning after breakfast, set out to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (http://www.ziwarhino.com). There is a brief stop over in Luwero District for refreshments and indulging in organic fruits such as oranges, pineapples, bananas, passion fruits.
The Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch is located in the Nakasongola district of Uganda about 176km (100 miles) north of Kampala on the Gulu highway towards Murchison Falls. The branch off point is at Nakitoma Trading centre. The ride takes about an hour and half.

Presently, the sanctuary is home to about twenty two (22) southern white Rhinos. Visitors will partake in Rhino Trekking, Shoe bill Trek, Canoe ride (optional), bird watching, nature walk and relaxation. Lunch will be provided.
In the evening, the group will drive to the Lodges in Kiryandongo District where they will check in and have Dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park


Have breakfast in the morning 7:00 am and drive off to Murchison Falls (about 2hours). Once at Murchison Falls National Park drive to the top of the Murchison Falls where you get to have a view of the magnificent Nile squeeze through a narrow gorge of about only 7 meters wide and rupturing into violent waterfalls into a whirlpool about 43 meters below. This sight of the world’s most spectacular waterfall is panoramic and breathtaking.
Then set off for lunch, and at around 2:30 pm board the cruise boat on the river Nile to view the water Falls and the animals such as Hippos and Crocodiles along the river.
Then more drive in the Park and as the evening falls, return to Hotel in Kiryandongo for Dinner and sleep.

Day 3: Drive to Kibale National Park


Wake up in the morning bright sun shine, have breakfast. Drive to Kibale National park with spectacular views of the rift valley, great Lake Albert, the Rwenzori ranges, the beautiful Lakes George and Edward, generally the western Albertine rift valley environment. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 4: Depart for Bwindi Forest


Morning breakfast then we depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park driving through the Ishasha sector south of Queen Elizabeth National park to see the tree climbing lions. No where in Africa would you stand a better chance to see this than in the large low limbed fig trees of Ishasha. Proceed to the Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, and check in the lodge.

Day 5: Bwindi Forest Gorilla and Chimpazee Trekking


Have your morning breakfast early enough, head to the park office headquarters for registration and where you will be briefed on where and how the mountain gorillas are tracked. You will then be divided into groups and guided by an expert ranger who knows best where to track them from. Tracking time is usually a minimum of 2hrs and a maximum of 7hrs. You will be given time with the gorillas like 1hr to enjoy the thrilling and emotional moment with them. Return to your lodge for lunch, and in the afternoon go for an optional community walk.

Day 6: Return to Kampala and Entebbe Airport


Wake up in the morning bright sun shine, have breakfast. Drive back to Kampala (about 2 hours). Spend some time in Kampala at the craft market to get some souvenirs. Have lunch in Kampala then drive off to Entebbe Airport (about 45 minutes).
